Day 39 (Part 1) - Granville Ohio - Alec Pay's House - Thursday 24 July 2014 Mileage 6573 miles

This day will turn out to be a major day in the Atwell family. . . More on that later . . .;-) (Part 2)
As it turns out, Alec has to work this day away, leaving me alone to sleep late and get caught up on some blogging.  In the end, I slept late and didn't get caught up on these blogs :-(  After over a month of writing, they have become a chore, but I know I will be glad when I am done and can look back and recreate a great trip with all my friends and relativies . . .   Well, I got up late and went up staires to visit the women of the house and get the plan for the day.  Cathy was the most polite host, offering to fix me food, but I wasn't hungry yet from the dinner the night before . . . So we sat around and watched a little Rediculousness until it was almost time to leave for the girls ortho appt.
I went down and took a shower and got dressed in time to go to the girls appt.  While waiting, I went outside and snapped some great shots of their lovely house!
The front yard
And the back.  I think he has a couple of acres, or close to it, but trust me it's big! The next shot will be what is in the shade to the left of the center Xmas tree/bush
Moving closer
and
and
a big back yard
Here is the garage side of the house
The inside was just as pretty
The basement where I stayed, with my little friends, the ferrets
there are 3 of them in there
My room was the door on the left, with my friends in the cage on the right
They are playful little kids that we will let out later this night.
The TV room
Dining to living room
Kitchen table - notice the beautiful view of the backyard with all the windows
And the kitchen!  This was a beautiful house!!!!!  Great job Cathy!!!!
We then went to Dr. Crock's office and I had some fun there!  My first time in an Ortho's office . . .
And this was a pretty one.

Here is Carly out front

The exam/work chairs wrap around this big window . . Almost like sitting outside . . .

Carly in the chair waiting for the torture to begin!
Dr Crock, himself, working on Riley
This was OK, but I had to see what was going on with those braces things?  Dr. C. let me right in
Sorry it was so blurry, but I was RIGHT THERE Helping!!  ;-)
Here are the girls
Carly
Riley and Carly again
Alec, What a beautiful batch of young ladies you have!  All 3 ;-)
As I remember, we went by and had the mandatory ice cream cone after the Orthro and headed home
Alec came home shortly after (and before I could get a nap ;-) and he was fired up to go to some nature reserve and walk before dinner  We loaded the van, and headed out to some nature Bio Reserve thing to walk around.  I'm not sure why I was giving him a hard time, except that's what we do, but it was beautiful.  Here are a few family shots
The good looking (no homo) boy in the center is Carly's friend, Sam.  A great young man that was interested in most of my goofy stories . .  you all know how I take to someone that will listen to me talk :-)
The trail was so rough, I had to have a walking stick  Carly is holding it for me ;-)
A great looking family!
Alec being . . . . Alec
OK, enough of these, but we did have fun!
The Shoe Shot and
The Head Shot . . . Riley is in that batch of hair somewhere
Alec wanted me to sample this? On the trail . . .I picked it up and looked at it, smelled it, tasted it and was sure glad I didn't STEP in it ;-)  (I've waited the whole trip to use that one ;-) (It's a old cowboy joke, girls)
Some beautiful deer were in the place
Jumpimg across the road
And feeding . . .  Speaking of feeding, we were all hungry and decided to go to a BBQ place that was on Main Street, a couple of doors down from the Mexican food we had last night.  It was delicious and I thank the Pay's for picking up the tab ;-)  I'll return the favor when you come to Vegas, I promise.  Many good lessons were taught to the kids at that meal ;-) and afterward, we headed out for another little town walk.  And what better place to visit, at night, than the haunted cemetery!
I took several pic's with and without the flash to try and catch some orbs, but couldn't find any
Maybe on the right side to the right of the light?
Nope, none in this one, except the little one to the left of the light - a baby orb . . .?
Nothing . . .
Alec and I tried to scare the girls and Sam, but with those pesky iPhone flashlights, they were having no part of it! :-)  But we tried!!!  Going all the way through the cemetery,

we came up these stairs and onto another road and saw "The Walker" . . . A strange man who walks all day and night, just walks ? ? ?
They took me to a haunted old timey hotel that has been featured on Ghost Adventures.  It was called "The Buxton Inn"
They were getting ready to close for the night, but were very kind to let the "visitor" from Las Vegas, look around (Good idea, Alec!  Next thing you know, we were on a quick late night tour. . .
The old cellar bar
and dining room, all underground
Another place to eat in the wine cellar
I got under the table (with all the lights off) and Alec read my mind and started doing his magic on Riley to get her to come down to see the room.  She got halfway in as Alec fumbled around looking for the "light switch", which he never found ;-)  I reached up and scratched the underside of the table and Riley had NO investigation gene in her.  Poof. . . gone . . . she shot out of that cellar without leaving a trace . . . even as Alec said, "Wait, did you hear something . . .? "  There was no answer as she left the building :-)  AHHHhhhh a little fun with Riley.  Of course, I wanted to scare Carly and Sam, but they were outside the hotel, not taking ANY chances of getting scared  Or, at least, that's what they said . . outside, in the dark, along in the trees and bushes, with NO adult supervision . . .and no watchful eye . . . ;-)  LIKE MINE!!!!  (I'm goofing with them because there were such good kids, you couldn't find any better - and again, who would listen to my stories!  That's special right there)  We left this old girl built in the 1800s:
And crossed the street
Across the street was the Granville Inn
Like the Buxton, built in the early 1800s and it was beautiful also, with ghosts?
And down the hall to some of the rooms
This is all Old School stuff and very remindful of our American history.  I loved it!

We went home and I shot this pic of one of their fish in a huge tank
Then we went downstairs to play with my little friends, the ferrits . . .
They would play chase in those dryer hose tubes
Explore all over the basement, opened a door to a closet and looked around to see what they could steal and hide (a game they LOVE)

I lasted about as long as I could and Alec had to work early the next morning, so off to bed we all went.  A great day had by all . . . or so I thought as I was going to bed, but that's Part 2 . . .of the story . . . to Day 39 . . .?

Night Night

LUKE Out!
