Day 7 Arlington TX (still ;-)

The morning started out dark, wet and dark, pouring rain against the roof and trees outside.  The A/C was on cold, the bed warm, the sound from outside deliciously calming (whatever that means ;-) and whats a man to do ????  ZZZZZzzzzzzzz  and that's what I did.  I got up and said good morning to the hotel owners at 9 (7 Vegas time) and went back to bed.  Then I really, really slept till the crack of noon . . .

It has been a wonderfully lazy day.  We went to see Val at work (at the Container Store - you know my favorite store in the world) because I had to get some kind of water proof bag to put my back-pack in. Everything else on the bike is waterproof, but coming here in the rain, I had to stop and get a couple of Walmart plastic bags to put my pack in.  They worked ok, but looked like poo and flapped so loud I couldn't hear the music in my helmet. . .

Of course, you can't go in the Container Store, when they are having a travel sale going on, and not buy everything you have always needed, but didn't know you needed it, until you got there, and not buy half the store.  I now have the coolest thin nylon bags to pack my shirts and pants and stuff in and it will be all sorted in my suitcase.  Beautiful!!!!

We met Val after she got off work at B J's (Kelly's favorite ;-) and had some great food.  I may never eat again . . .

When we got home, it was only fitting to take a little nap while it was raining . . .  When I woke up, It was sunny and humid.  Val wanted to go on another ride, so I got her dressed in the gear and we went on a 30 min ride to Joe Pool Lake and back.  A beautiful ride over a couple of long bridges over the lake.

Once home, we have been watching the LA Angels whoop up on the Texas Rangers for the second day in a row, and finished watching the US almost beat Portugal, but tie in the end.  Have written two blogs tonight to get caught up.  Now I'm free to go hang and watch TV!!!  Yay!!!!

Alright, good night to you all and I'll write more from Shreveport LA  tomorrow night.

LUKE   Out . . .  :-)
