Day 19 - Key West Florida - Friday 4 July 2014 Mileage apx 3600

Hello All!  Happy 4th to you and to America!  Got up this morning and had a great FREE breakfast buffett at the Casino/Hotel we stayed in.  Then packed up at set our sites for Key West leaving about noon for the 150 mile trip down the keys. . .  This roughly 2 hour trip ended up taking 5 hours because of a draw bridge going up and down for ONE boat at a time forcing stop and go driving for almost 3 hours.  This was at Snake Creek Bridge leaving Plantation Key Mile Marker 85 going to Key Largo and was miserable!!!!!

This was the view for EVER!!!!!! and I promise you stop and go, 95 degrees, no air flow, full gear, uneven, old road, and NOBODY moving . . .  Made this part of the trip suck!

Once we got moving, it was clear sailing after Marathon Key:

Water Water everywhere!

Long Bridges

Notice the boats partying at this cute island  The water color was pretty blues . . .

We finally needed a break and pulled into a little Key bar and chilled for 30 min  Here is a shot of the local flavor:

After all, it was the 4th

Me and our server, Lina - a Harley rider that loved the bike . . . ;-)

Finally, ALL THE WAY FROM VEGAS!!  KEY WEST!!!!!  YAY!!!!!!!!!

After a quick shower, we hit Duval Street, the hot place in town!

Of course, we had dinner at Sloppy Joe's and yes, we had sloppy joe's

And a couple of these sissy drinks :-)

And listened to a couple of bands here . .

Duval Street

We followed this attractiive lady a little while ;-)

Ended the night at the ORIGINAL !!!

Finally got to bed around midnight and called it a day!!!!

LUKE Out!!!  :-)
