We got up at the crack of 10ish and decided to get the bike out. It was a great day, but hotter than blazes. . . I unwrapped the bike and away we went to the "0" mile marker for the US ;-). It is at the very end of US Hiway 1. Here it is:
And the real shot:
Of c ourse, we had to take a million of these from both sides of the street;
Then we moved to the Southern Most Point in the United States, and got the shot
With the bike . . . This is why one of the main reasons I brought this big bike all the way here! It's been a great ride so far . . .
We didn't want to wait in line to get our picture, so we came at it from a different direction and photo bombed someone else's picture. I hope to someday get the shot in the Arctic Circle. Thats's my goal!!!
It was then a cool off time back to the pool where this friendly fellow came walking up:
He was a cute one with a LONG tail
After a cool dip, we kept our suits on and got onboard or
5 pm Regge and Rum snorkling and sunset trip.Out on the ocean again!
The sunsets were not nearly as beautiful as the night before, but I guess it's all relative . . .
After the ride, we went back to the pool and decided to get a pizza for dinner. Jennifer put in a order for some beverage cozzie's so on the way to eat we re-visited the Hog's Breath ;-)
The pizza was a local's hangout called Mr Z's Pizza and it was delicious!
We sat in a window seat and saw this van drive by It was the ONLY sexually referenced anything we saw the entire 3 days and NEVER saw a singlke police car or policeman the entire time. Not one fight, so tickets, nothin, nada, zip . . . No cops in Key West . . .
We went home, Cindy to bed, and me to make phonecalls home and to Snake. I sat in this beautiful Nag's Head Hammock seat that I loved!!!
It felt great and the view was wonderful, overlooking the harbor:
The fence and light is where the water starts. Had a great convo with Snake and mom and called it a night!
LUKE Out!
