Day 20 - Sat - 5 July - Key West Fla - Mileage Still about 3,000

Hello Friends, A very exciting and relaxing day for our first full day in Key West.  I started with a dip in this great pool that is EXACTLY Luke Warm.  Not John warm, or Sean warm, or Snake warm, but LUKE warm.  It felt great.

In between dips I wrote 2 blogs to get caught up and posted them.  Very productive!!!

We decidied to go exploring and eat at the same time.  Right outside the hotel was this museum thing  There was some very weird artsy statues around the outside:

That's a statue guy on the ground too, not me?  Not sure what was going on there and them there was the painter painting the whole thing:

The painter with some guy getting it on in the background?

I had to take a seat to gather all this in . . .

Well, It is Key West ;-) but I have to say, for all the bad rap it gets as being a gay place, I have only seen 1 or 2 male guys that "might" have been gay /  Or they might have been from France . . .  I'm just saying  ;-)

We started shopping immediately and looking for a food eating place!  We ended up at A & B Fish Househaving another great fish meal!

We walked aroubd for a few hours checking out all the sites.  Here was a pool party with beer pong floats!

and a giant Jinga set

Here are just a few random shots of the area:

A nice boat!

The harbor

Jenn, We finally found BO's Fish Wagon!!!

It hasn't changed  bit!

A great place for fresh fish! (In a relaxed atmosphere ;-)

Then there were these Figular Trees with the crazy roots:

Good Camo!!  We did buy a few things at the Hog's Breath and stopped in for a beverage and heard this great duet, George on the guitar and Bill on the horn:

After shopping, we took a little break.  Cindy took a little nap and I think I went swimming in the pool.  We had to get ready fgor out "Sunset Cruise".

Here was our boat

Heading out the bay

The Captain and Crew

Well, It was all the marg's you could drink, and . . .  well, . . . I had a couple, but this one ;)

It was a great cruise.  Here are some of the sunset shots:

I have about 50 of these, but my brother Snake, says I don't have to post them all ;-)  But trust me, I was a beautiful night.  Cindy, with a little buzz on, wanted to go to her favorite place, the Hog's Breath Saloon, and see if the woman was there from Nashville that looked like Janis Joplin. . .  We walked in looking for a seat and Cindy stood by this lady at the bar.  The lady said Hello to her and Cindy said she heard a little of the band the night before and this great lady singer!  The lady asked Cindy who she sounded like and Cindy said, Janis Joplin.  The lady said, that's me!!  They started up a convo and before you know it, we all are best friends . . .  Her name is Jonell and she is from Nashville, has kids in college, works different venues in Nashville and was cool to talk to.  Here she is:

It was a long, humid, evening so we went home about 1am and took a great late night swim in the pool at the hotel and turned in for the night!

And that's how it was this Sat, 5 July in Key West
